Frequently asked questions

Can the recipient forward the download link to others?
The link only works once. The moment it's opened and the PDF is delivered, the link becomes a permanent 404.
What happens to the PDF on CipherEdge's servers?
We store only encrypted bytes. When the link is opened, we return the ciphertext and immediately delete it — we never held the plaintext.
Is this suitable for NDAs and legal documents?
Yes. Many lawyers use this to deliver draft contracts. Pair with a watermark option on Pro tier to embed the recipient's identity in the PDF.
Can I send PDF files larger than 10MB?
The free tier supports up to 10MB. Solo plan supports 250MB, covering most professional PDFs including large reports and presentations.
